ظهر حنظلة فيما بعد بعض المرات رامياً الحجارة (تجسيداً لأطفال الحجارة منذ الانتفاضة الأولى) وكاتباً على الحائط. أصبح حنظلة إمضاءً لناجي العلي، كما ظل رمزاً للهوية الفلسطينية والتحدي حتى بعد موت مؤلف الشخصية
